When can you expect Fireworks in Blankenberge?

Every year, there are three fixed moments when the sky above the beach lights up in all the colours of the rainbow.

21 July – National Day:

On Belgium’s National Day, Blankenberge becomes extra festive. On the beach, near the Pier, a spectacular fireworks display kicks off as soon as night falls. Beforehand, there is free entertainment along the Zeedijk, with music, stalls, and a lively atmosphere.

• Time: The fireworks start at approximately 23:00.
• Location: Beach near the Pier.
• Pre-show entertainment: Free entertainment on the Zeedijk from 21:30.

End of August – Flower Parade Fireworks:

As the finale of the colourful Flower Parade, enjoy a magical evening show full of light and fire. Stilt walkers, fire artists, and street acts lead up to the fireworks.

• Time: Entertainment starts at 21:10, followed by the fireworks.
• Location: Beach near the lighthouse.
• Pre-show entertainment: Stilt walkers and fire artists before the fireworks.

End of October – Halloween Fireworks:

During the spookiest week of the year, Blankenberge transforms into a Halloween town. The highlight? The fireworks show “The Pier in flames”. A spellbinding spectacle above the sea with a touch of mystery.

• Time: The fireworks start around 19:30.
• Location: Zeedijk near the Pier.
